Application of polycrystalline cubic boron nitride in metal cutting field

Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) tool is a superhard material product made of many fine cubic boron nitride micro-powder grains (0.1~100μm). In addition to high hardness and wear resistance, it also has the characteristics of high toughness, chemical inertness, high temperature red hardness and so on. It shows excellent cutting performance in all aspects of processing. It can achieve stable cutting at high temperatures and is very suitable for processing a variety of hard steel, tool steel, cast iron and other high hardness and wear resistant materials.

PCBN has most of the performance of CBN, while overcoming the shortcomings of CBN single crystal surface orientation cleavage, with many performance advantages, suitable for processing material workpieces including cast iron (brake disc, brake drum, cylinder liner, compressor, engine, pulp pump, etc.), hard steel (rolls, mining machinery, bearings, gears, slewing supports, etc.).
