Diamond powder is widely used in machinery, aerospace, optical instruments, glass, ceramics, electronics, petroleum, geology, military industry, is the ideal material for grinding and polishing carbide ceramics, gems, optical glass and other high hard materials.

Polycrystalline diamond micropowder with good toughness, in the grinding and polishing process can maintain high grinding force while not easy to produce scratches, widely used in optical crystals, ceramics, superhard alloys and other hard materials grinding and polishing.

Generally 0~0.5 micron diamond powder to 6~12 micron diamond powder for polishing; 10~15 microns to 22~36 microns for grinding; 12~22 microns is used for fine grinding.

The production process of diamond powder

Diamond raw material → crushing and shaping → acid treatment → water washing → ultrasonic dispersion treatment → particle size classification → single particle size acid treatment → drying → particle size inspection → weighing, packaging and storage.

Diamond powder is generally produced only with low-technology materials, that is, what we call the production of Class 1 materials. There are also some custom requirements and special applications, will use 3 types of materials, such as diamond wire saw, glass drill and other electroplating products.

Grinding and forming of diamond powder

Grinding and forming are the key links in the production of diamond powder. The previous production process was based on ball grinding, which was mainly based on grinding and had moderate low-speed mechanical impact. It has been replaced by air mill.

The working principle of air grinding: compressed air is injected into the grinding room at high speed through the nozzle, and the diamond raw materials repeatedly collide, friction, shear at the intersection of multiple high-pressure air streams, and then are crushed. The particles are crushed by high-speed collision, and the surface of the particles is crushed by friction shear and formed.
